Dinamica Generale will participate for the third time in the PLF Student’s Travel Workshop, an event dedicated to students, researchers, universities and companies working in the field of Precision Livestock Farming.
The 5th edition of the PLF Student’s Travel Workshop will take place from 1 to 3 October 2026 and will be hosted by the Università degli Studi della Tuscia in Viterbo, Italy.
The workshop brings together students and academic experts from several Italian universities to discuss research, new technologies and emerging approaches for the future of livestock farming.
📅 1–3 October 2026
📍 Viterbo, Italy
The PLF Student’s Travel Workshop provides young researchers and students with the opportunity to present experimental studies, explore new Precision Livestock Farming applications and exchange ideas with universities and technology companies.
Topics covered during the workshop will include precision feeding, animal health and welfare monitoring, milk quality, sensor technologies, artificial intelligence, methane emissions and data-driven livestock management.
In addition to the scientific sessions, the three-day program will include farm visits, networking opportunities and dedicated sessions with sponsoring companies, creating a direct connection between academic research and real-world livestock applications.
As part of the workshop, Anna Ghiraldi from Dinamica Generale will give a presentation on 2 October entitled: “From Feed Efficiency to Farm Sustainability: Turning Feeding Data into Measurable Impact“
The presentation will explore how better management of the feeding process can contribute to improving both the economic and environmental performance of dairy farms.
Feed represents one of the most important inputs in dairy production. Improving the way it is planned, prepared, delivered and monitored can therefore have a direct impact on production efficiency.
Through weighing technologies, feed management software, NIR analysis and connected data, farms can move from simply managing feeding operations to measuring how efficiently feed resources are converted into production.
The presentation will focus on how feeding data can help farms:
The objective is to show how Precision Feeding can become a practical link between farm efficiency and sustainability, transforming everyday feeding operations into actionable and measurable information.

Dinamica Generale’s participation in the PLF Student’s Travel Workshop reflects our commitment to fostering dialogue between industry, universities and the next generation of livestock professionals.
By sharing technologies, field experience and new approaches to data management, we aim to contribute to the development of livestock farming systems that are increasingly efficient, connected and sustainable.
We look forward to meeting students, researchers and industry professionals in Viterbo and discussing how data and technology can help shape the future of livestock farming.
